FIXED WHEEL GATES

TENMAT FEROFORM T814 has been used as bushes and thrust washers for rollers in fixed wheel gated since it's introduction in 1996.

For self lubricating journal bearings in fixed weel gates there is a ckear of usege to low head hates (~25-30 m) at higher heads, roller bearings must be used due to the increased loads.

FEROFORM T814 bearings are used in Stop Lock Rollers, Chain Rollers etc.

TENMAT recommend that where possible, seals always used in conjunction with self- lubricating materials, to postpone the ingress of abrasive particles susoended in the water, increasing the shaft and bearing life. Postpone the ingress of abrasive particles suspended in the water , incrasing the shaft and bearing life, Particular care should be taken with a Fixed Wheel Gates, where suspended particles can remain in the wheel bearings after the water has dried out.
