FEROGLIDE, is a recent development for high load, heavy duty applications and
combines the stiffness of a bronze backing with me excellent wear characteristics
of the FEROGILDE of composite. FEROGLIDE is ideal for water turbine applications,
including dry running Kaplan hub blade bearings and and linkages,a growing reference
list is included in this manual.
FEROGLIDE is an equivalent to other plugged bronze bearings with lubricating inserts.
The bearings are mainly installed in fixed wheel and eadial gate applications. FEROGLIDE
is also supplied for wicket gate and regulating apparatus applications in water turbines
e.g. in a number of projects in india, they are currently installed on the INDIRA SAGAR project
for 215 MW turbines.
